Comments:
Base handle class for image processing filter operations that give a byte
image output, eg thresholding. This class specifies the interface for all
derived filter classes. Normal operation will involve specifying the
filter parameters in the constructor and then filtering an input image
using the output stream operator or Apply member function. And example of
this approach is given here:
