CPUG stands for C++ Programmers and Users Group. All relevant information for novice and advanced CPUG users is available from this page.

Welcome to the CPUG home page. CPUG stands for C++ Programmers and Users Group and this home page serves both as an introduction for beginners and a reference for advanced users.

CPUG is made up of the following parts:

  • The software compilation system: There is a flexible "Make" system QMake which can be used for compiling your software project, and which is also used to compile the software within CPUG. If you are an Xemacs user, you can enhance your Xemecs session to make compilation using QMake even easier.
  • Software libraries: AMMA is a C++ library with strict submission criteria. GAMA is an older library which contains everything that is not suitable for inclusion in AMMA.
  • Document control: If you want to keep records of previous versions of your software, or share it with others, there is also a document control system RCS, which is also used within CPUG.

Finally, please let us have any comments or suggestions for improvements. If you cannot get things to work, please go and see either the Software Manager or the Users' Group chairman.
