ImagePyramidC<class PixelT>

Creates a (multiresolution) pyramid of subsampled images

include "amma/Image/ImPyramid.hh"
User Level:Default
Library:IPLinear
Example:exIPConv.cc
Section:Image.Image Processing.Operators
In Scope:std

Comments:
The pyramid is stored in the form of a list. The original image forms the first item in the list.

The image is filtered each time before subsampling it, to prevent aliasing components appearing in the subsampled image. The design of the filter can also be important.

Parent Classes: Methods:
ImagePyramidC(const IPConvSymC<PixelT,RealT> & Filter,UIntT MaxLevels = 0,IntT Subsample = 2)
Constructor
Filterthe spatial filter applied before each subsampling.
MaxLevelsmaximum no. of pyramid levels (including original image)
Subsamplesubsampling factor (amount by which image is shrunk each time)
N.B. If "MaxLevels" = 0, the pyramid continues down to the smallest possible image.

DListC<NumImageC<PixelT>> MakePyramid(const NumImageC<PixelT> & im)
Creates and returns the complete image pyramid (including original image "im")
The pyramid creation continues until one of these conditions is satisfied:
  • the minimum image size is reached (default is 1x1, but can be overridden by MinSize())
  • the maximum no. of image levels is reached (if set > 0).

void MinSize(UIntT min_rows,UIntT min_cols)
Sets minimum size of image
The pyramid creation will not continue if no. of rows < min_rows or no. of cols < min_cols

NumImageC<PixelT> Subsample(const NumImageC<PixelT> & im)
Performs one level of filtering and subsampling
If the resulting image is too small, an empty image is returned

#include "amma/RCHandleA.hh"
RCAbstractC Abstract()
Create an abstract handle to this object.

BooleanT IsHandleType(const DT &) const
Is handle of given type ?

void CheckHandleType(const DT & dummy) const
Check handle type. Throw an expception if not.

BooleanT Save(ostream & out) const
Save to ostream.

RCHandleAC<ImagePyramidBodyC<PixelT>> Copy() const
Creat a deep copy of this object.
protected:

#include "amma/RCHandle.hh"
BooleanT IsValid() const
Check its a valid handle.

BooleanT IsValidObject() const
Check its a valid handle, and that the object is pointed to is also valid.

RCHandleC<ImagePyramidBodyC<PixelT>> & operator=(const RCHandleC<ImagePyramidBodyC<PixelT>> & oth)
Assignment.

BooleanT operator==(const RCHandleC<ImagePyramidBodyC<PixelT>> & oth) const
Comparison operator.

BooleanT operator!=(const RCHandleC<ImagePyramidBodyC<PixelT>> & oth) const
Comparison operator.

UIntT Hash() const
Hash function.x

BooleanT IsConst() const
Is object constant ?

BooleanT IsNotConst() const
Is object not constant ?

void SetConst(void) const
Lock the object.
This is const as a convience though it actual modified the object, often object you wish to ensure are constant already have const set. protected:

void Invalidate()
Turn this into an invalid handle.

ImagePyramidBodyC<PixelT> & Body()
Direct access to body.

const ImagePyramidBodyC<PixelT> & Body() const
Constant access to body.
